Since 1917, we have gone from being shut out, to making a difference, to being in charge…Our high heel shoe prints stretch far, wide and deep here in New Hampshire.”
A capacity crowd on June 1, 2017, celebrated the first 100 years of women in the legal profession in New Hampshire. Chief Justice Linda Stewart Dalianis keynoted the event, which featured a video of memories of women pioneers in law as well as their successors in the profession.
The event was coordinated by the NH Bar Foundation in collaboration with: NH Women’s Bar Association; New Hampshire Bar Association and its Gender Equality Committee; the Daniel Webster-Batchelder American Inn of Court, the NH Association for Justice, and the NH Supreme Court Society.
A commemorative booklet celebrating the history of pioneering women in the bench and bar also was published.
