New Hampshire Legal Assistance (NHLA) seeks a Staff Attorney to work primarily on our Housing Justice Project. NHLA is a statewide organization. The Staff Attorney will be based in NHLA’s Manchester office and responsible for handling work throughout New Hampshire. We are open to a hybrid work arrangement. The Staff Attorney will focus on providing holistic representation to people with low income at risk of homelessness. Representation focuses on defending evictions from subsidized housing and mobile home parks, defending terminations of housing subsidies such as Section 8 vouchers, and housing discrimination cases pursuant to state and federal fair housing laws. The Staff Attorney will also be responsible for occasional community engagement and education work, as well as occasional work in other law practice areas.
