” If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, and become more, you are a leader.” —John Quincy Adams

The NH Bar Association’s Leadership Academy is based on this theory.  The weekend of October 26 and 27, the 13 members of the 2019 class and their facilitator Jennifer Elder gathered for their first working session. They explored many of the facets of leadership and were pushed to envision possible projects to address the justice gap in New Hampshire.  The weekend retreat kicked off a 9 month journey to become more – to become leaders in New Hampshire.

Weekend topics included:

  • Getting to know your NH Bar Association
  • What is Leadership: from personality to perspective, from skills and knowledge to thought process
  • Leadership styles
  • Developing personal leadership skills
    • Consensus building
    • Conflict resolution
  • Introduction to Leadership Academy team projects
