Legislative Branch and Executive Branch Module

The program’s goal is for the participants to learn and understand the executive/legislative processes by:

  1. Attending a legislative committee meeting, committee hearing, or other meeting/hearing (select board, city council, planning board, zoning board, etc.).
  2. Participating in discussions with leaders working in different sectors of the executive and legislative branches of NH government.
  3. Discovering how these leaders came to hold their professional positions, responsibilities and challenges these leaders have faced, and techniques these individuals have used to lead effectively.
  4. Identifying the best way(s) for NH bar members to interact with leaders in the executive and legislative branches, both as participants and as advocates.
