Reasons to Do Pro Bono

Reasons to Do Pro Bono

By Jon Ross

Whether you make a poor, average, or good living as a lawyer,
that living is coming out of your community and you should give something back.

Nobody likes a bully - It feels good to be able to level the playing field.

It's an enticement for top law students to come to your firm.

It's very satisfying work. For the most part,
the clients are nice people who are very appreciative of your time.

It's the right thing to do -
this is one of our professional obligations for the privileged status we enjoy.

Supreme Court Rule 42(9) requires all NH admitted attorneys to notify the Bar Association of any address change, home or office.
