Bar Center Seminar Room Available for Rental
The lower-level seminar room, principally used for NHBA CLEs and Section meetings, will be rented out to other entities on a space-available basis, according to policies approved by the NHBA Board of Governors last month.
The seminar room can hold up to 80 people in a classroom-style setting with a head table on a raised stage (holding a panel of between six to eight people.) The room will be available for rental on weekdays during business hours, and reservations will not be accepted on weekends or when the Bar Center is closed. Free parking is available on-site.
Audio-visual equipment, kitchen facilities or pre- or post-meeting storage facilities are not available with the room rental. For an additional charge, wireless Internet access can be provided. The NHBA staff can provide information on vendors that can be used to provide food or audio-visual equipment for a meeting.
Because the classroom setting is not conducive to social gatherings, the room will generally not be made available for social events, unless they are NHBA-related events.
The Board of Governors adopted a rental fee schedule to offset the cost of the space to the Association and to cover maintenance charges. Rental fees are available on a sliding scale for legal organizations, nonprofits, and private organizations. Permission from the NHBA executive director is required for programs held at the Seminar Room by non-NHBA entities that are offered for NHMCLE credit.
Fees are discounted to range from $60 for a half-day rental for government or nonprofit legal-related organizations to $150 for other nonprofit organizations. Private law firms may rent the seminar room for $200 for a half day or $350 for a full day. Fees for commercial entities are $250 or $400 for a full day.
Visit www.nhbar.org at About the Bar for more information on the seminar room rental policies or call the Bar Center at 603-224-6942 to inquire about availability.
