In early September, lawyers will be mailed their 2008 Certificates of Compliance showing their CLE completion through June 30, 2008. Any lawyer who has not received a certificate by Sept. 7, 2008, should contact the NHMCLE Office at the Bar Association.
Lawyers whose online records are up to date and show their compliance as of June 30, 2008, will receive WHITE certificates. No response is required unless corrections need to be made.
Lawyers who did not comply by the end of the compliance period or whose attendance reports were not received before the certificates were printed will receive PINK certificates, and a response is required. These lawyers will have until Oct. 1, 2008, to contact Annual Sponsors of CLE to request attendance reports, complete additional credits from Annual Sponsors or submit applications from non-Annual Sponsors. They must file their signed certificates with copies of their new course attendance records. Instructions on how to respond are on the back of each certificate. Lawyers who file after the deadline will be assessed a late filing fee of $50.
Those lawyers who are exempt from the CLE requirement this year, but will have to comply in 2009 will receive a BLUE certificate. No response is necessary. The form contains information about their online CLE records that they will need to know for the 2009 compliance period.
All courses completed for CLE credit have to be listed in lawyers’ online records. Within 30 days of course completion, every lawyer is encouraged to view the Course Attendance Detail on the second page of his/her online CLE record by selecting the word "Attendance" at the top of the page (after logging in) to be sure the listing accurately reflects course attendance.
