Midyear Meeting Honorees Named

Thereís still time to grab seats at the 2009 Midyear Meeting on Friday, Jan. 23 at the Radisson Hotel/Center of NH in Manchester for timely CLEs or to attend the Honors & Awards luncheon. Visit for the full program slate, including a special forum on sentencing reform initiatives in NH. (Itís too late to pre-register. Contact Cheryl Moore at 603 715-3260 or at to ask about availability for the luncheon or for specific CLEs.) At the very least, be sure to attend the free Member Reception at 5 p.m. at the Center. (Free appetizers, entertainment, and cash bar.)

At the luncheon, NHBA President Ellen L. Arnold will present the following awards:

Inaugural Outstanding Service in Public Sector/Public Interest Law: NH Public Defender B. Randy Hawkes and James E. Fender, Legal Counsel, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

Distinguished Service to the Public award: Carol Kunz, of Wiggin & Nourie

L. Jonathan Ross Award for Outstanding Commitment to Legal Services for the Poor: Richard Uchida of Orr & Reno

Donald E. Dufresne Professionalism award: Posthumous presentation to Graham P. Chynoweth, of Concord.

Pierce Law Dean John D. Hutson will be the luncheon guest speaker.

Supreme Court Rule 42(9) requires all NH admitted attorneys to notify the Bar Association of any address change, home or office.
