Hersher practiced law in Merrimack as managing attorney at the Hersher Professional Association.

"[Wayne] was an excellent lawyer, an even better human being, and quietly did more pro bono work than anyone else I know," said longtime friend John Garvey from the Franklin Pierce Law Center.
