Milford High School students at a WTP Competition in Concord.
The NH Bar Association Law Related Education Program is currently seeking volunteers for the We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution district and state competitions scheduled for late 2009 and early 2010.

A program of the Center for Civic Education and of the NH Bar Association, We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution is a civic education program dedicated to promoting civic competence and responsibility among elementary and secondary students through an in-class curriculum, which culminates every year with a statewide competition in the form of a simulated congressional hearing. The top performing high school team will represent New Hampshire at the National Competition in Washington, D.C.

This yearís competition dates are as follows:

District Competition: Friday, December 12, 2009
(snow/ice date: Monday, December 14)

State Competition: Friday, January 8, 2010
(snow/ice date: Monday, January 11)

All members are welcome to participate, but veteran judges are in particular demand. If you would like more information about the program or if you would like to volunteer, contact Law Related Education Coordinator Robin E. Knippers at 603-715-2359, or e-mail her at reknippers@nhbar.org.

To learn more about We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution, visit the Barís website - or visit the Center for Civic Educationís website.

Supreme Court Rule 42(9) requires all NH admitted attorneys to notify the Bar Association of any address change, home or office.
