NH Bar Foundation News
Foundation, Campaign Make Joint Appeal
The NH Bar Foundation and the Campaign for Legal Services this year have joined forces to do a combined mailing for end-of-year contributions. The joint effort saves on mailing costs and makes it simpler for contributors to make donations to the two organizations.
A cover letter, co-signed by Gordon J. MacDonald, chair of the 2012 Campaign for Legal Services Leadership Council, and Jack B. Middleton, chair of the NH Bar Foundation, describes the different but complementary missions of the two organizations and includes two remittance envelopes.
The different approaches of the organizations are spelled out. The letter describes two recent projects supported by the Bar Foundation – funding of a statewide legal needs assessment and the Civics in Action initiative that last year sent volunteers to all 58 Rotary Clubs in NH. The letter also describes the role of the Campaign for Legal Services in providing direct support to three providers – NH Legal Assistance, the Legal Advice & ReferralCenter and the NH Bar’s Pro Bono Referral Program.
We encourage all members of the legal community to support the efforts of both organizations.
