The Bar Scene...

"For a new practitioner like me, meeting him is like a ball player meeting Babe Ruth," said Daniel Jacob, a 2010 graduate of the Boston University School of Law. Jacob, who was admitted to the NH Bar in 2011, met retired US Supreme Court Justice David Souter at the New Lawyers Meet-and-Greet event held at the Grappone Center in Concord on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

Ned Sackman, chairman of the NHBA New Lawyers Committee, chats with Bar President Larry Vogelman at the New Lawyer Meet-and-Greet in Concord on Dec. 5.

New lawyers Ben Golden and Alex Najjar talk shop at the meet-and-greet.

NH Public Utilities Commissioners Robert Scott, Amy Ignatius, and Michael Harrington have lunch Nov. 19 with the TEU Section at the Bar Center.

Pam Dodge, coordinator of the NH Barís Pro Bono DOVE project, talks with NHLA Director John Tobin after both were honored by the NH Coalition against Domestic and Sexual Violence last month.

NH Governor-elect Maggie Hassan answers an accountantís question at the 30th annual Tax Forum and CLE in Manchester on Nov. 30. Hassan, who recently added Bar members Graham Chynoweth, Alice Chamberlin, Jennifer Frizzell and Steve Gordon to her business innovation and transition teams, spoke about keeping sales and income taxes out of New Hampshire, restoring public university funding and pushing for a high-end casino in southern NH to compete with gambling establishments in Massachusetts.

Supreme Court Rule 42(9) requires all NH admitted attorneys to notify the Bar Association of any address change, home or office.
