In Memoriam: Frederick J. Sullivan

Frederick J. Sullivan passed away Oct. 31, 2012, surrounded by family. He was 80.

Sullivan grew up in Massachusetts and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He later attended Boston College and received his JD from Boston College Law School. He started his legal career at the US Treasury Department in Boston and then moved to Portsmouth, where he worked at First National Bank for a short time. Much of his career was as a solo practitioner up until his retirement in 2005.

He was a member of the Kiwanas Club, Knights of Columbus and Warwick Club. Sullivan also served as chairman of the Portsmouth School Board in the early 1980s.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta, and his children, Lorraine, Donna, Frederick Jr., and Patricia, as well as his stepson, Michael Dallaire.

In honor of our colleague Frederick J. Sullivan, the NH Bar Association Board of Governors has donated to the NH Bar Foundation, 2 Pillsbury Street, Suite 300, Concord, NH 03301.

If you are in doubt about the status of any meeting, please call the Bar Center at 603-224-6942 before you head out.
