In Memoriam: John R. Michels
John R. Michels of Londonderry passed away Feb. 11, 2013. He was 68.
Michels graduated from College of the Holy Cross in 1966, Harvard Business School in 1971 and Suffolk University Law School in 1979. He served with the United States Army in Vietnam.
Michels was a New Hampshire state representative for two terms, a Constitutional Convention delegate for two terms, and a sponsor of successful amendments on equal rights and the Right-to-Know.
Michels was senior administative office and portfolio manager for Cabot, Cabot & Forbes Land Trust in Boston before founding Michels Development Company in Londonderry. Finally, he partnered with his wife, attorney Nancy Michels, in the law office of Michels and Michels, also in Londonderry.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, and children, Christine, Jan, Robert and Anne.
