Craig Confirmed as Labor Commissioner
Manchester attorney Jim Craig was confirmed as commissioner of the New Hampshire Department of Labor on June 19.
Following the unanimous confirmation by the NH Executive Council, Gov. Maggie Hassan released the following statement:
“Jim Craig’s long record of public service, as well as his deep understanding of the legal and policy issues that affect both our workforce and business community, will make him an excellent Commissioner of Labor. I applaud the Executive Council for their unanimous confirmation, and I look forward to working with Jim to ensure that the rights of New Hampshire’s workers are fully protected and that our businesses have the level playing field they need to grow and thrive.”
Craig has been a member of the NH Bar Association since 1983. He is a graduate of UNH Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) and has most recently practiced at the firm of Craig Deachmann and Amman PLLC on Elm Street in Manchester.
