Pan-Mass Challenge
Law partners Corey Belobrow and Paul Magiotto of Maggiotto and Belobrow in Concord rode in the Pan-Mass Challenge this month to raise money for cancer research and treatment.

The Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) is a two-day, 190-mile bike ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown Mass., to raise money for the Jimmy Fund/Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The ride was Aug. 3-4

US Commission on Civil Rights
Enrique Mesa, Jr., an immigration attorney with LawServe in Manchester, has been appointed to the NH State Advisory Committee of the US Commission on Civil Rights, an independent, bipartisan agency that monitors enforcement of federal civil rights laws.

David Nixon
NH Association for Justice Award
David Nixon of Nixon, Vogelman, Barry, Slawsky & Simoneau, was recently awarded the first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award by the NH Association for Justice. He was honored for his “exemplary accomplishments as a practicing plaintiff’s attorney and for his leadership, advocacy, and dedication to the public interest, as well as to the Rule of Law, in court, in the Legislature, and in public forums.”

Dan Crean
American Bar Association
Dan Crean of Pembroke contributed two chapters of the ABA’s recently published treatise “Town and Gown: Legal Strategies for Effective Collaboration.” The publication is a compilation of essays, case studies, and research exploring relations between institutions of higher learning and their host communities.
Bradford E. Cook
NH Ballot Law Commission
Bradford E. Cook of Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green PA has been re-appointed to the New Hampshire Ballot Law Commission by Speaker of the House Terri Norelli as her Republican appointee and was re-elected as its chair. The Ballot Law Commission is the state body that has jurisdiction over state elections, decides election disputes, and hears appeals from recounts.
