In Memoriam: Hon. David B. Sullivan
Hon. David B. Sullivan passed away Aug. 18. He was 66.
In 1965, Judge Sullivan graduated from Governor Dummer Academy in South Byfield, Mass., before enrolling at Wesleyan University and Boston University School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. He began his legal career at the McLane law firm in Manchester and then joined his father and brother at Cheever and Sullivan in Wilton. Sullivan was appointed to the NH Superior court in August 1991. He retired in 2007 and served as an active retired judge for as long as his health permitted.
Judge Sullivan was a former Temple town moderator, member of the Temple Mountain Ski Patrol and the Souhegan Valley Ambulance Squad. He served on many boards, including RiverMead Life-care Community, Shelter from the Storm, and the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, and children: Kate, Hannah, and Danforth. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to Monadnock Community Hospital, Attn: Philanthropy, 452 Old Street Road, Peterborough, NH 03458.
