Applications Now Available for Justice Grants
The NH Bar Foundation is currently accepting proposals for 2014 Justice Grants.
This grant program broadens the NH Bar Foundationís mission of strengthening the system of justice in New Hampshire by funding efforts to encourage innovation in the administration of justice, providing community education about the law, and improving access to the legal system.
Applications are due at the close of business on Nov. 15, 2013.

IOLTA Committee Member Reappointed
Bedford attorney Ruth Ansell has been reappointed to serve a second five-year term on the IOLTA Grants Committee.
Ansell, of the Ansell Anderson law firm, has served on the five-member committee since 2008.
The IOLTA Grants Committee reviews applications for funding decisions and makes recommendations to the NH Bar Foundation Board of Directors. Over the past 30 years, more than $31 million has been raised through the participating lawyers and banks of the NH IOLTA Program. IOLTA funding is a critical source of funding for civil legal services for the poor in NH, and for programs promoting awareness of our legal system.
Your IOLTA Dollars Work Harder Here! Leadership Banks
The NH Bar Foundation reminds attorneys that IOLTA deposits in banks in our Leadership banks category earn substantially more money for the worthy legal services organizations funded by IOLTA than funds deposited in non-IOLTA or non-Leadership Banks.
These community banks truly live up to their label by agreeing to pay special rates on IOLTA accounts (2% or higher) and waiving some fees. Leadership Banks strongly support the mission of the New Hampshire Bar Foundation to improve access to justice for all citizens.
Visit the NH Bar Foundation website to find out more. Or contact Mary White at the Bar Foundation to create or move your IOLTA account.
