County Deeds System Upgraded
The Merrimack County Registry of Deeds plans to install a new computer system with enhanced search features on Monday, Dec. 16.
The new, more user-friendly system has an index that will now show all of the names associated with each document, not just the name searched. Also, there will only be one database that will show both verified and unverified index data, eliminating the current need to search in two separate databases.
New search capabilities include a consideration (purchase price) search and a street search.
The new system will also enable documents to be linked, so that when a discharge is recorded, it will be linked to the mortgage being discharged. The link will bring up the mortgage without requiring the researcher to leave the search results screen.
Software vendor Pioneer Technology and staff held formal training sessions from Dec. 4 through Dec. 6, but staff remains available for informal sessions.
Due to the transition, the Merrimack County Register of Deeds will not be accepting ERecordings after 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12. The existing website will be down as of Friday, Dec. 13.
The new website will be free during the startup and learning process, but only accounts with credit balances will be transferred. Other users without credit balances will need to register for the new site, which will be found at merrimackcountydeedsnh.com starting Dec. 16.
