Pro Bono Efforts Continue This Holiday Season
Pro Bono Month may have ended in October, but the work of connecting low-income people with legal help continues this holiday season.
Attorneys with a few hours to spare are asked to consider volunteering at the NH Bar Center for one or more of the year-end Pro Bono referral marathons on Thursday, Dec. 12, Tuesday, Dec. 17, or Friday, Dec. 20.
These marathons have successfully placed hundreds of clients with Pro Bono volunteer attorneys over the years. The staff of the NHBA Pro Bono Referral Program provides the cases, the phones, and the lists of potential volunteers to call. Attorneys spend a little time calling other volunteer lawyers and discussing the cases to find a good match.
To sign up for a morning or afternoon session, or to learn more, please email Carolann Wooding.
