8th Circuit Family Division Effective Dec. 16

In accordance with the authority granted in RSA 490-D:5, see also RSA 490-F:3, the Supreme Court orders that the judicial branch family division of the New Hampshire Circuit Court, 8th Circuit Jaffrey shall be operational in Jaffrey effective December 16, 2013, at the building which houses the New Hampshire Circuit Court 8th Circuit located at 84 Peterborough Street. The geographic jurisdiction of the family division in Jaffrey shall be as set forth in RSA 490-D:4, XVI(f) and XX(a) to include the towns of Dublin, Fitzwilliam, Jaffrey and Rindge in Cheshire county and the towns of Greenfield, Greenville, Hancock, New Ipswich, Peterborough, Sharon and Temple in Hillsborough county.

Matters arising in the towns of Greenfield, Hancock and Peterborough pending in the Manchester Family Division pursuant to this court's order of November 9, 2009, shall conclude at the Manchester Family Division unless justice requires the transfer of these cases to Jaffrey. Matters arising in the towns of Greenville, New Ipswich, Sharon and Temple pending in the Merrimack Family Division pursuant to this court's order of December 9, 2010, shall conclude at the Merrimack Family Division unless justice requires the transfer of these cases to Jaffrey. Matters arising in the towns of Dublin, Fitzwilliam, Jaffrey and Rindge pending in the Keene Probate Division shall conclude at the Keene Probate Division unless justice requires the transfer of these cases to Jaffrey. Such cases which need to be reopened for further judicial orders after they reach final judgment at the Manchester or Merrimack Family Divisions or the Keene Probate Division shall be reopened and heard at the Jaffrey Family Division.

Pursuant to RSA 490-F:2, and in keeping with the goal of judicial officer continuity found in RSA 490-D:1, the Administrative Judge of the Circuit Court, in his discretion, shall assign existing cases to either the Keene or Jaffrey courthouse as justice or efficiency may require. Court scheduling notices shall be deemed sufficient notice to the parties for cases to be transferred to Keene. All other cases shall be deemed to have been assigned to the Jaffrey courthouse. Nothing in this order prohibits any party from requesting a case transfer as the interests of justice or efficiency may so require.
