In Memoriam: Julia Brown
Julia Brown died Jan. 4, 2014, after a long battle with Pickís disease. She was 60.
Brown was a lifelong resident of Hampton and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelorís degree in business. She went on to Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Mich., then returned to her home state. Julia was active in her town, having served as moderator of the Hampton School Board and in the American Legion Auxiliary. She worked for the NH Department of Safety and held several prominent board positions, including on the NH Motor Vehicle Industry Board and the Board of Manufactured Housing. Additionally, she owned and operated a successful private practice in Hamptonís Depot Square.
Julia is survived by her children, Jenny and Carlton, as well as her parents, Stanwood and Jewell Brown.
