Six NH Bar members included in “40 Under 40”

James “J.P.” Harris
Six NH Bar Association members were honored as part of the NH Union Leader’s “40 Under 40” series, which recognizes influential people in New Hampshire who are age 40 or younger. Making the list this year were James “J.P.” Harris, of Sheehan, Phinney, Bass + Green; Mary Ellen Morse, a corporate counselor at Liberty Mutual, Steven Venezia of Upton & Hatfield; Jennifer Turco Beaudet, of Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer; Sheridan Brown, attorney at law and government relations consultant; and Elizabeth McCormack, corporate counsel and operational vice president of human resources at Brookstone.

NH Children’s Trust Board of Directors
Sarah Fox, circuit court coordinator at the NH Judicial Branch, was recently appointed to the NH Children’s Trust Board of Directors. NH Children’s Trust works to eliminate child abuse and neglect by promoting universal prevention programs with the general population, and secondary prevention strategies targeted to individuals or families where there is a higher risk of maltreatment.

RESOLVE New England Board of Directors
Catherine Tucker, of Concord, has been appointed to the RESOLVE New England Board of Directors. RESOLVE New England is a nonprofit organization that has been providing support, education and advocacy for the infertility community since 1974.

New England Women’s Leadership Institute
Leigh Willey, of Devine Millimet in Manchester, was recently elected to the board of directors of the New England Women’s Leadership Institute.

Julie Moore
College of Labor and Employment Lawyers
Julie Moore, president and founder of Employment Practice Group, has been inducted as a fellow into the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. Induction as a fellow is a recognition attained exclusively by colleague nomination and election.

Simon Leeming
New Zealand Order of Merit
Simon Leeming, of Preti Flaherty in Concord and a dual citizen of the US and New Zealand, has been named a member of New Zealand’s select Order of Merit in recognition of his significant contributions to New Zealand-United States relations. The New Zealand Order of Merit is awarded to New Zealand citizens “who in any field of endeavour, have rendered meritorious service to the Crown and the nation or who have become distinguished by their eminence, talents, contributions, or other merits.”

Supreme Court Rule 42(9) requires all NH admitted attorneys to notify the Bar Association of any address change, home or office.
