NH Bar Foundation News: Banks Partnering in IOLTA’s Work
Bar members may be familiar with the Leadership Banks, that elite group of community-minded banks that go the extra mile (or dollar) to make their participation in the Bar Foundation’s Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program especially rewarding.

Leadership Banks pay 2 percent on IOLTA deposits, contributing nearly 50 percent of the IOLTA interest revenue that is disbursed to support the core programming of civil legal aid providers in New Hampshire.
The Bar Foundation is now also formally recognizing a new category of banks, Partner Banks, that are paying at least 1 percent on IOLTA deposits. The Partner Banks listed below are responsible for nearly 30 percent of IOLTA’s revenue this year.
The contributions of banks, large and small, to the IOLTA Program, are a key part of a partnership between the legal community, banks, and the court to support this efficient form of charitable giving to civil legal services.
