NHBA Annual Meeting Returns to Portsmouth
June 20-21, 2014
Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel, Portsmouth, NH
Working for Tomorrow’s Client
The NH Bar Association Annual Meeting returns to the Seacoast this year, offering an informative, informal, interactive day of programming.
There will be morning and afternoon CLE programs on the latest ideas about streamlining your practice, finding new clients and better serving existing clients, with ideas applicable to law practices large and small.
Our featured speaker is Ari Kaplan, an attorney, business strategist, and author of Reinventing Professional Services – Building Your Business in the Digital Marketplace. He will be discussing how solo lawyers, small firms and larger firms can adapt to the client needs of today and tomorrow. This is not a program about gadgets and software; this is about practical ways you can evaluate what you have to offer as an attorney, how to find and attract new clients, and more efficiently operate your office to serve the clients you do have.
As part of our theme, Working for Tomorrow’s Clients, the Annual Meeting will also offer a Member Services Showcase. Choose from a selection of small-group demos of services and products offered by or through the Bar Association, including:
• Online legal research;
• Current office technology for small law offices;
• Guidance on affordable, flexible practice management software;
• Financial planning advice; and more.
On Saturday, June 21, plans are in the works for a low-priced breakfast CLE program on risk-management strategies.
Take advantage of special NHBA Annual Meeting rates to make a night of it in downtown Portsmouth. Visit the Annual Meeting page at www.nhbar.org for instructions on contacting the hotel.
More details on the CLEs, and the Member Services Showcase will be posted in the weekly NHBA e-Bulletin and at www.nhbar.org.
