In Memoriam: Richard E. Dill
Richard E. Dill passed away Jan. 14, 2014, at the age of 90, after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Dill was a World War II veteran, having served in combat with Patton’s army in southern Germany. After his honorable discharge, he studied at the Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering.
In 1952, he graduated from Harvard Law School. As a member of the Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire Bar Associations, he practiced law in Portsmouth for many years before moving to Vermont to practice in Island Pond, where he stayed active until his retirement in 2011.
He is survived by his children, Charlton, Lauren and Melinda, as well has his companion, Eileen Earp.
