Court News: Federal Court Launches New Website

The United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire has announced the launch of its new website. The address remains the same, www.nhd.uscourts.gov, but everything else about the site has been fully revamped to improve the user experience.

Of particular note is the new opinion search tool that allows users to more efficiently and effectively search the courtís opinion database. The opinion search tool can be accessed from the Quick Links section on the courtís home page.

The court also reformatted its Local Rules and CJA Reference Manual to allow users to more easily navigate through and print sections of these documents. Local Rules can be accessed from the Quick Links section on the home page and under the Case Management tab located on the siteís main menu bar, and the CJA Reference Manual can be found under the Attorney Information tab.

Finally, the court upgraded its listserv subscription service to allow users to subscribe to the courtís news announcements, civil and criminal opinions and First Circuit opinions, as well as national court news and opinions. Current subscribers to court news, civil and criminal opinions, and/or First Circuit opinions should see no change in service. The following lists were consolidated into court news: CJA, court announcements, local rules, published opinions and weather. If you would like to subscribe to one of the courtís lists or review the status of your subscriptions, you may do so using the Subscription Service link in the Quick Link section on the home page.

Supreme Court Rule 42(9) requires all NH admitted attorneys to notify the Bar Association of any address change, home or office.
