Time to Apply for NHBA’s Next Leadership Academy
“The Leadership Academy is a self-selected group, with a higher-than-average probability of being really good lawyers and good people,” says Donald Sienkewicz, NHBA Leadership Academy Class of 2011. “You’ll make great connections, which are bound to make you more useful to your clients, your colleagues, and your community.”
If you are an attorney in practice three to 10 years, now is the time to apply for the NH Bar Association’s Leadership Academy Class of 2015. The application deadline is Friday, July 18. Programming begins in October and ends in June 2015.
Leadership Academy is a nine-month program, usually meeting once a month, that provides in-depth training and exposure to leadership skills, helps you meet movers and shakers in various professional and government sectors in the state, and engages you with a small group of peers drawn from all parts of the legal community. Shadow a judge for a day, practice testifying before a mock legislative hearing, practice leadership and networking techniques, and apply your skills to produce a service project as part of a team.
To ensure a diverse group of practitioners can participate, tuition assistance to pay the $750 fee for the program is available.
