Clinics Bring Speedy Help to Bankruptcy Clients
Attorneys volunteering to take bankruptcy cases have been rapidly turning cases around, thanks to Pro Bono’s “clinic” approach.
The Pro Bono program recently organized clinics for three months in a row that brought together volunteer attorneys with clients who, with the assistance of Pro Bono staff, had gathered the necessary documents and records to enable the attorney to efficiently evaluate the case and assemble the necessary court filings.
Seven attorneys assisted 14 client households over the three nights. More clinics will be scheduled soon.
