The Bar Scene

Retired NHLA Executive Director John Tobin’s career was celebrated by friends and colleagues last month.

Douglas Hill, a former NHLA attorney and longtime board member, gives Tobin a 1970s era poster designed by a VISTA worker.

NH Supreme Court Justice Gary Hicks lauds Tobin for his role in establishing a Lawyers Assistance Committee.

Former State Rep. Liz Hager recalls legislative triumph when NHLA obtained state appropriation to open new branches.

The Walking a Mile in Her Shoes team is made up of, from left, NHBA Pro Bono staffer Carolann Wooding, NHBA Communications Director Dan Wise, attorney Dennis Thivierge, DOVE Coordinator Pam Dodge, attorneys Michael Mathaisel & James Shepard, and Pro Bono Director Ginny Martin.

Walking a Mile in Her Shoes: The NH Bar’s Domestic Violence Emergency (DOVE) Project has put together a team to participate in the Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire’s fundraiser on Oct. 1 that asks men and women to wear high heels for a one-mile walk in downtown Concord, to raise awareness about domestic violence.

Supreme Court Rule 42(9) requires all NH admitted attorneys to notify the Bar Association of any address change, home or office.
