Superior Court Order

Pursuant to Part II, Article 73-a of the New Hampshire Constitution and Supreme Court Rule 51, the Supreme Court of New Hampshire adopts the following amendments to court rules.
I. SUPERIOR COURT RULES (CIV.)
(The following make technical amendments to the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions.)
1. Amend the Preamble of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions, as set forth in Appendix A.
2. Amend the Table of Contents of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions, as set forth in Appendix B.
3. Amend Rule 1 of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions, as set forth in Appendix C.
4. Amend Rule 3 of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions, as set forth in Appendix D.
5. Amend Rule 4 of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions as, as set forth in Appendix E.
6. Amend Rule 7 of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Action, as set forth in Appendix F.
7. Amend Rule 9 of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions, as set forth in Appendix G.
8. Amend Rule 17 of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions, as set forth in Appendix H.
9. Amend Rule 20 of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions as set forth in Appendix I.
10. Amend the comment to Rule 22 of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions, as set forth in Appendix J.
11. Amend Rule 28 of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions, as set forth in Appendix K.
12. Adopt Rule 28A of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions, as set forth in Appendix L.
13. Amend Rule 36 of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions, as set forth in Appendix M.
14. Amend Rule 37 of the Rules of the Superior Court of the State of New Hampshire Applicable in Civil Actions, as set forth in Appendix N.
II. JUDICIAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS
(The following technical amendments to Supreme Court Rule 56, regarding performance evaluation of judges, implement a recent statutory change to RSA 490:32, VI. See N.H. Laws 2014 ch. 5.)
1. Amend Supreme Court Rule 56, regarding performance evaluations of judges, as set forth in Appendix O.
III. ATTORNEY’S OATHS; DUTY TO UPDATE INFORMATION
(The following amendment implements a recent statutory change to RSA 311:6. See N.H. Laws 2014 ch. 204.)
1. Adopt Supreme Court Rule 42E, regarding attorney’s oaths and duty to update information, as set forth in Appendix P.
Effective Date
These amendments shall take effect on September 1, 2014.

Supreme Court of New Hampshire


Pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 38-A, the Supreme Court appoints Attorney Kimberly Kirkland to the Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics, to serve a term beginning September 1, 2014, and expiring September 1, 2017. Attorney Kirkland is appointed to replace Professor Mitchell Simon, whose term expires on September 1, 2014, and who is not eligible for reappointment.
