The Grafton County Bar Association celebrated the retirement of Circuit Court Judge Gary Boyle, pictured with courthouse staff, at its fall meeting Oct. 23 at Jesse’s Restaurant & Tavern in Hanover.

Retired US Supreme Court Associate Justice David Souter attended the Federal Practice Institute at the federal courthouse in Concord on Friday, Nov. 7, to introduce Paul Clement, who served as the 43rd Solicitor General of the United States (2006-2008). Clement gave an hour-long talk on the US Supreme Court, describing the issues likely to come before the Court this term. Having argued many cases before Souter, he also traded praise with the retired Supreme Court Justice, who continues to hear cases in the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
