Court News: Public Wifi Now in Most Courts
The piloting of e-filing for small claims cases is bringing an immediate benefit to all courthouse users – public access to Wi-Fi in all Circuit Court locations, except for those few without district divisions.
The NH e-Court Project relies on secure connections over the Internet for its network, so every state courthouse will eventually offer Wi-Fi access.
A 2008 NH Supreme Court order allows electronic devices including laptops and cellphones in courthouses and courtrooms, unless “the presiding justice finds that use of a particular device will disrupt a particular court proceeding.”
