In Memoriam: James McNamee Jr.

James (Jamie) McNamee, of Nashua passed away Nov. 23, 2014. He was 63.
After earning degrees from St. Michael’s College and Niagara University, McNamee went on to receive his JD from Boston University School of Law. He served the Nashua community in private practice, as a public defender, as alderman for Ward 3 and as city attorney.
McNamee served on several community boards, including the Greater Nashua Child Care Center, Greater Nashua Dental Connection and Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program. He received the Good Neighbor Award from the Nashua Children’s Home and was named one of Nashua’s 20/20 Legacy Business Leaders in 2014. As an attorney, McNamee served as a volunteer mediator in the NH Superior Court and the Nashua Mediation Program.
He leaves behind his wife, Joanne, and children, Kate, Lindsay, Patrick, Peter and Elizabeth.
In memory of attorney James McNamee Jr., the NHBA Board of Governors has contributed to the NH Bar Foundation.
