NHLA & CLS Hire Outreach Manager
New Hampshire Legal Assistance (NHLA) and the Campaign for Legal Services (CLS) have hired Sarah Palermo of Concord as communications and outreach manager.
NHLA is a statewide nonprofit law firm that represents low-income and elderly clients in civil cases that impact their basic needs. CLS is the joint fundraising campaign for NHLA and its sister legal aid program, the Legal Advice and Referral Center of Concord.
Palermo comes to this new position from the Concord Monitor, where she worked as a staff reporter and the social media manager. She also served on the board of the New Hampshire Press Association, including two terms as president. Previous work experience includes serving as a staff reporter with the Keene Sentinel. Palermo earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Vassar College.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sarah Palermo to our staff,” said NHLA Executive Director Lynne Parker. “She brings a deep understanding of the issues facing low-income people in New Hampshire, as well as the communication skills and experience to increase awareness and understanding of legal services in our state.”
CLS Campaign Director Celina Hurley added, “Sarah will be a great addition for the Campaign as we work to increase support for New Hampshire’s critical legal aid programs.”
