From the Archives: Judge Loughlin Receives M-1 Rifle
At the NH Bar Foundation Black Tie Dinner in 1990, Superior Court Judge James Barry presented, on behalf of a group of Manchester-area friends and colleagues, a World War II-era M-1 rifle to US District Court Judge Martin Loughlin, who was named an Honorary Foundation Fellow that year. Loughlin, who retired from the bench in 1995, served in the US Army in World War II and fought with distinction at the Battle of the Bulge. Loughlin’s wife, Margaret, is seated between Barry and Loughlin.
