Section Connection: NH Bar Association Sections Elect New Officers

Itís election season for New Hampshire Bar Association section officers. These are the final election results to be reported from the associationís 22 sections.

The purpose of bar association sections is to facilitate professional exchange and development in specific practice areas through email list serve discussions, education seminars and informal social gatherings.

Next International Law Section Meeting to Feature State Refugee Health and Affairs Staff

The NHBA International Law Sectionís meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 22, will feature talks by staff from the state Office of Minority Health and Refugee Affairs.

NH State Refugee Coordinator Barbara Seebart and Refugee Health Coordinator Laura McGlashan of the NH Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health and Refugee Affairs will provide section members with an overview of the refugee resettlement process in New Hampshire and will discuss program accomplishments, as well as issues and concerns facing refugees in New Hampshire.

The meeting will be held at noon the NH Bar Center. The section welcomes all nonmembers and prospective section members to attend this free presentation.
