Low-Income Taxpayer Project Shines in National Review

Sandra Ramirez, an advocacy analyst from the national Taxpayer Advocate Service Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic Program Office, traveled to New Hampshire in June to conduct an annual site visit of the NH Bar Association Pro Bono Referral Program Low-Income Taxpayer Project (LITP).

Through the clinic, both staff and volunteer attorneys provide representation to low-income New Hampshire residents facing controversies with the IRS.

The photo at right shows, in the back row (from left), Ginny Martin, NHBA Legal Services director; Barbara Heggie, LITP coordinator and staff attorney; and Simon Levenson, LITP intern. In the front row: Sandra Ramirez, Taxpayer Advocate Service advocacy analyst; Joceline Champagne, Taxpayer Advocate Service local taxpayer advocate.

If you are in doubt about the status of any meeting, please call the Bar Center at 603-224-6942 before you head out.
