Allison Ambrose

Paul Burkett

Allison Ambrose, of Wescott Law, has been named to the Belknap Mill Society Board of Directors. Belknap Mill is a historic mill, industrial knitting museum and event space in Laconia that focuses on the convergence of art, history and education. The society is working to preserve the mill.

Paul Burkett, of Rath, Young & Pignatelli, has been elected chairman of the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center Board of Directors. The center offers the general public a planetarium, science exhibits and opportunities to explore astronomy and space science.

Bill Glahn

Judge James Carroll, of Laconia, will be recognized with a Quill and Ink Award from the Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications for his support of the public’s right of free speech as demonstrated by two of his recent court decisions. The award will be presented at the Loeb School in Manchester during its First Amendment event Nov. 12.

Bradford Cook, of Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green, will receive a lifetime achievement award at the Business and Industry Association annual dinner Wednesday, Oct. 28, in Manchester. The BIA is New Hampshire’s statewide chamber of commerce and business advocate.

Bill Glahn, of McLane Middleton, has been named to the New Hampshire Humanities Council Board of Directors. The council supports local cultural and educational institutions experiencing economic hardship.
