In Memoriam: James M. Winston
James M. Winston, 88, of Manchester, NH, passed away Nov. 28, 2015.
Winston was a lifelong resident of Manchester. He graduated from Saint Joseph High School for Boys and earned a bachelorís degree from Saint Anselm College, before going on to earn his law degree at Boston University School of Law.
During World War II, Winston served with the United States Navy.
Shortly after graduating from law school, Winston opened his law office in Manchester where he practiced for more than 60 years.
His family was his life. Being with them brought him the greatest joy. He was also an avid golfer and a member of the Manchester Country Club for 63 years.
Devoted to his faith, he was a longtime communicant of Saint Joseph Cathedral, where he was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society of the parish. Winston was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was also active with Catholic Charities.
Winston will be remembered for his kindness, patience, and great sense of humor, but most important, as an extraordinary husband, father, and grandfather. He touched the hearts of those who had the good fortune to know him.
