NHMCLE New Year’s Resolutions
The 2015-2016 reporting year for Supreme Court Rule 53 NH Minimum Continuing Legal Education rule ends June 30, 2016. That may seem like a long way off, but members can act NOW to make the completion of the reporting process much easier next June. Here are three steps members can take now:
- Get a head start on 2016 New Year’s resolutions by entering courses already taken (or activating an account if a new member) at www.nhmcle.org. Check “My Record” to view status – it will show, for example, whether you have carryover credits from the last reporting year.
- Make a CLE plan. Planning ahead by selecting and scheduling in-person or online courses in the winter and spring helps ensure members fulfill annual requirements before the deadline.
- Share with staff. Members with support staff are encouraged to orient them to the NHMCLE requirements and the online ART tool. Support staff can be enlisted to make sure members complete the necessary steps to comply with Rule 53 requirements, and that they are aware of key compliance dates:
Reporting year: July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016.
July 1- File the online ART Affidavit of Compliance
Later this spring, look for more information on the process for members not in compliance at the end of the reporting year.
