NHBA Thanks Lawline Hosts
The NH Bar Association would like to thank Orr & Reno of Concord for hosting Lawline on Wednesday May 18. Attorneys John Malmberg, Meg Cahill, Steven Winer, Nicole Paul, Peter Burger, Jeffrey Spear, Jeremy Eggleton, Caroline Brown, and Douglas Patch as well as staff member, Meg Cahill, covered the phones. These volunteers answered more than 50 calls from the public.
Asked about the experience, Winer said “Doing Lawline is a great way to provide some concrete help to people who are in difficult circumstances and can’t afford to hire a lawyer. Even when I don’t know the answer to the callers’ specific questions, I’ve found that they’ve really appreciated the opportunity to discuss their problems and be pointed in the right direction to get more assistance. It’s a rewarding experience.”
Lawline is a public service of the NH Bar Association. Volunteer attorneys answer calls from the public from 6-8 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month, either from one central location, or remotely.
For more information or to volunteer to host Lawline, please contact NHBA Lawline Coordinator Jacqueline Geddes.
