Arthur G. Greene has been selected for the 2016 Samuel S. Smith Award from the American Bar Association Law Practice Division, for excellence in law practice. The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding lifetime achievement in the field of law practice management.
Christine Craig of Shaheen & Gordon has received the New Hampshire Association for Justice Board of Governors Award, in recognition of her support of the association and its goals.
Leslie Johnson and Ellen Purcell received the Granite State Advocate Award from the New Hampshire Association for Justice.
Tina Nadeau, chief justice of the NH Superior Court; Sawako Gardner, a judge for the Portsmouth Mental Health Court; and James Leary, a judge for the Nashua Mental Health Court received the Civil Justice Award from the New Hampshire Association for Justice.
Tim McLaughlin, of Shaheen & Gordon, was recently honored for his five-year tenure as board chair of Veterans Legal Services in Boston, Mass., a charitable organization that provides free legal services to low-income and homeless veterans.
Anthony Perkins was recently honored by the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development for his many years of volunteering in the MCED Top Gun program, with the MCED Compass Award. Top Gun is an annual program in which participants are mentored and compete for support to launch their businesses.
Autumn Misiolek Tertin, of GoffWilson, was selected as chair of the National Association of Women Lawyers, Women in Immigration Affinity Group.
Peter Bennett, of The Bennett Law Firm in Portland, Maine, co-chaired the Judicial-Media Knowledge Exchange Workshop, which was co-sponsored by the Missouri Supreme Court and the American Bar Association on June 30 in Columbia, Missouri.
