Online Tools Speed Pace of Attorney License Renewals
Congratulations to the 5,914 NH Bar Association members who completed their attorney licensure renewal obligations by the July 1 deadline.
More than three-quarters of members (76 percent) were in compliance with all of their annual licensure obligations by midnight of July 1 using the new online process, which members access through the NH Bar Association’s new member dashboard website feature.
The conversion to this new process was the product of a collaboration between the NH Supreme Court, the NH Bar Association and the Attorney Discipline Office and was preceded by a 3-1-1 awareness campaign (3 steps, 1 place, 1 deadline.)
Because the website was made more secure, members were required to create a new password to access the member dashboard. Some confusion ensued over the separate log-in credentials for the NHMCLE ART reporting site and the Bar’s online CLE catalog. Further enhancement of the website will produce a single-sign on process next year.
The accompanying chart shows the pace of progress from June 2015 to June 2016. A much higher percentage of members had already completed all their licensing obligations – paying Association dues and Court fees, reporting and certifying NHMCLE compliance and submitting the trust compliance form, which this year could be completed online – by the end of June.
For that percentage of members who have not complied with all of the required steps, late fees will begin accruing Aug. 1, with $50 owed for each step that is delinquent. Late fees will increase in September and enforcement action will be taken by the Court if obligations have not been completed by Oct. 1.
NHBA members are encouraged to log in to the MyNHBAR portion of the website and attend to any unmet obligations listed on the compliance portion of the dashboard. There are a number of instructional resources and video tutorials on the website to aid members in completing the steps. Visit or contact the Bar Center by email or phone at firstname.lastname@example.org or (603)715-3279 during normal business hours for more information or assistance in completing renewal obligations.
