In Memoriam: Robert M. Koch Jr.
Robert M. Koch Jr., 69, a resident of both Concord and Wilmington, Vt. died Sunday, June 19, 2016, in Concord, surrounded by his family.
Born in Falls Church, Va., Koch graduated from Congressional High School and the University of Miami, and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the College of William and Mary. While working as a lobbyist at the Office of the Postmaster General in Washington, DC, he met future wife Brenda Barry. Soon after, they started their life together in New Hampshire.
For many years, Koch maintained a law practice in Concord. He enjoyed waterskiing and time outdoors at his family’s old homestead at Lake Raponda in Wilmington. He later became a licensed Maine Whitewater Rafting Guide.
He leaves his wife, Brenda Koch; daughters, attorney Lindsey Koch of Seattle and Dr. Sarah Koch of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and sister, Dr. Marilyn Koch Gowing of Parkland, Fla.
In memory of our colleague, the New Hampshire Bar Association Board of Governors has made a contribution to the NH Bar Foundation.
