In Memoriam: Joseph F. Gall Jr., Nashua
Joseph Gall Jr.
Joseph F. Gall, Jr., 67, a Nashua attorney, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016.
Born in Washington, DC, Gall moved to Nashua during his early childhood and was a member of the first graduating class at Bishop Guertin High School in 1967 where he starred on the basketball team. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY for two years and served two years of active duty with the US Army. Following his honorable discharge, he attended the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, and then earned his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston.
Gall began his professional career in 1979 as co-founder and partner of Jordan & Gall of Nashua and ended his career as a senior partner of Jordan, Gall & Levesque of Nashua in 2015, with many firms in between.
He was a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and served as president in 1995; was a member of the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association from 1995-2011; was a Justice of the Peace and Notary Public. Active in the Nashua community, he served on the board of Home Health & Hospice Care of Merrimack; was board chairman and legal advisor at the Adult Learning Center of Nashua; and served on the board of the Nashua Children’s Home. Gall was a member of the American Legion, James E. Coffey Post #3 of Nashua; the Appalachian Mountain Club and the Rails to Trails Conservancy.
An avid outdoorsman and world traveler, Gall shared his passions for hiking, biking, and whitewater rafting with his sons and friends. He is survived by his three sons, Andrew J. Gall of Guatemala, Matthew J. Gall of Chicago, Ill. and Kevin C. Gall of Dover, NH; and many other friends and relatives.
