NH Bar Thanks LawLine Volunteers

Hundreds Helped at Spring and Summer Sessions

Members of the Grafton County Bar Association hosted Lawline in June.

The NH Bar Association organizes Lawline as a public service one night a month, but it would not be possible without the attorneys who volunteer to answer legal questions from the public. In addition to the Lawline volunteers who participated in a session last month, the NH Bar would like to thank Lawline volunteers from earlier this year.

The Concord law firm Family Legal hosted Lawline on Wednesday, Sept. 14. Attorneys Jeff Runge, Kim Tessari, Greg Kalpakgian, Jay Markell and Sandra Kuhn worked together to answer nearly 50 calls from the public. Questions came in from all over the state and pertained to a variety of legal issues, including estate planning, divorce, collections, and tenant rights.

On June 8, the Grafton County Bar Association hosted Lawline. The attorneys who volunteered their services were James Laffan of Laffan Law Office, Dave Cole of the Law Office of David N. Cole, Nancy Tierney the Law Office of Nancy S. Tierney, Kristin Ross of Van Dorn Curtiss & Rousseau, Ora Schwarzberg and John Katsirebas of Schwarzberg Law, Tim Caldwell and Renee Harvey of Caldwell Law, Dave Bradley, Scott Hesser and Eunice Lee of Stebbins Bradley, Robin Fisk of Fisk Law Office, Quinn Coglan of the Law Office of Eric W. Janson, and Jack Kauders of the Law Office of Jack Kauders. These attorneys worked together to answer more than 50 calls from the public with questions ranging from collections to personal injury.

Patch, FitzGerald & Ward of Manchester hosted Lawline on Wednesday, July 13. Attorneys John Ward and Dana Smith, with the assistance of Kathy Grande, Diana Gauthier, and Lori Jusczak, were able to address the needs of more than 50 callers. When asked about the experience, Ward said he appreciated the opportunity to donate his services to needy citizens. “There is clearly a need for this service as the phones rang for two hours straight... I recommend Lawline to any New Hampshire attorneys who want to give back.”

For more information or to volunteer to host Lawline, please contact NHBA Lawline Coordinator Jacqueline Geddes.

If you are in doubt about the status of any meeting, please call the Bar Center at 603-224-6942 before you head out.
