Bar Association Hires New Director of Strategic Communications

Jennifer Pinckney

Jennifer Pinckney has joined the staff of the New Hampshire Bar Association as Director of Strategic Communications, replacing Dan Wise. Most recently, Pinckney directed the graduate business programs at Plymouth State University, with responsibility for enrollment and program operations.

Pinckney, a New Hampshire native, comes to the NH Bar Association with more than 20 years of experience in marketing and communications in a variety of industries, including six years in association management for a national trade association where she helped members find new customers, stay abreast of regulatory changes, access resources to manage their businesses and meet their continuing education needs.

“When I first considered applying for the Director of Strategic Communications position at the NH Bar Association, I thought it would be a challenging new opportunity with an extraordinary organization. As I round out my fourth week, I am certain that I made the right choice. I am amazed by the amount and variety of programming the Bar offers to members and the community. The staff works incredibly hard in support of our members and still has found time to be welcoming and accommodating of my many questions.”

With a background in marketing, Pinckney’s attention will be on building and communicating the value of the NH Bar Association to all stakeholders with a focus on increasing member engagement and satisfaction. “While the recent membership survey shows the association scores well on measures of member satisfaction, there is always opportunity for improvement. Responses reveal that many members are aware of only a fraction of the benefits the Bar has to offer.”

A priority for Pinckney will be to develop a communication strategy across multiple channels to ensure that members are aware of the programming and services offered through the association and are able to access these benefits to reach their professional goals.

Pinckney can be reached by email.
