Election Season for NH Bar Association Practice Sections

It’s election season for section officers. About a quarter of the NH Bar Association’s 22 sections have recently elected new or returning leadership. The rest of the sections have elections scheduled later in May and in June. Bar News wishes to congratulate the section officers listed here and will publish the remainder of the section election results in June and July.

The purpose of NHBA sections is to facilitate professional exchange and professional development in specific practice areas through email list serve discussions, education seminars and informal social gatherings.

Joining a section is easy. Simply check off the appropriate box and include the membership payment. Contact Sections Coordinator Deb Bridges, (603) 715-3257, for more information.

Workers’ Compensation Section

Joshua Hilliard of Maggiotto, Belobrow, Feeney & Fraas was elected chair of the NH Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section. Michael Feniger of Feniger & Uliasz was elected as vice chair of the department, and Andrew Johnstone of Johnstone Law Office was elected as clerk.

Trust & Estate Law Section

Megan Neal of McDonald & Kanyuk and Michael Panebianco of the Cambridge Trust Company of New Hampshire were elected co-chairs of the NHBA Trust and Estate Section. Nelson Raust of Ransmeier & Spellman was elected vice chair, and Kaitlin O’Neil of Normandin, Cheney & O’Neil was elected clerk.

Municipal & Governmental Law Section

Margret Byrnes of the NH Municipal Association was elected chair of the NHBA Municipal & Governmental Law Section. Michael Courtney of Upton & Hatfield was elected vice chair of the section, and Eric Maher of Donahue, Tucker & Ciandella was elected clerk.
