In Memoriam: Rodkey Craighead Jr., Manchester, NH
Rodkey Craighead Jr.
Rodkey “Rod” Craighead Jr. of Manchester, New Hampshire, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017.
Craighead was born and raised in Michigan. He graduated from Valparaiso University in 1971, and then he enlisted and served in the United States Coastguard. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (then Franklin Pierce Law Center) in 1980 and practiced as a criminal defense attorney for more than 36 years. Craighead dedicated his life to helping others, personally and professionally. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Craighead, also a member of the NH Bar Association, and their two sons, Alexander Craighead and Joseph Craighead; his daughter, Sarah O’Donovan, her husband, Michael O’Donovan, and his grandchildren, Thomas, Julia and Catherine O’Donovan. Also, surviving him are many other family members and friends. He is predeceased by one son, Andrew Craighead.
In memory of our colleague, the New Hampshire Bar Association Board of Governors has made a contribution to the NH Bar Foundation.
